我的爷爷六十开外。退休前，他教英语。
“Get up. Get up. It’s time to go to school!” “起床，起床，该上学了!”清晨，爷爷用英语把我从沉睡中唤醒;放学后，我和小朋友们快乐地玩耍，又听爷爷唠叨：“Don’t play .Let’s have dinner .”“别玩了，我们吃饭啦”;餐桌上，爷爷用筷子指着我不喜欢吃的青菜说：“ Taste this, Taste that, They are very nice!”“尝尝这，尝尝那，它们很香!”我渐渐改掉了挑食的`毛病。
假日，我和爷爷来到动物园，看着那些活蹦乱跳的小猴，我久久不肯离去，爷爷指着山顶的一只猴子说：“Look at the monkey. Its tail is long. Its eyes are small. Is It lovely?”瞧!那只猴子，它的尾巴长，它的眼睛小，它可爱吗?
交叉路口，爷爷拦住了匆匆行走的我，指着红绿灯给我讲交通规则：“The traffic light is red.Stop .” “红灯停”。一会儿，绿灯亮了，他又说：“The traffic light is green. Go.”“绿灯行。”
秋天，田间一片丰收的景象，当我看着硕果累累的果树，赞美之情油然而生， “爷爷，教我几句吧!”“Apple is red.Apple is round . Apple is juicy apple sweet .Apple , Apple, I love to eat.” “苹果红，苹果圆，苹果多汁苹果甜，苹果苹果我爱吃。”我边欣赏着丰收的果园边跟着爷爷学，几分钟，我就能流利地表达出自己的喜爱之情。
其实，英语并不难。我反反复复地听爷爷说，大着胆子模仿爷爷的发音念，不知不觉学会了不少英语。

一年前，我妈妈带我去上英语特长班。我对老师说：“我的记忆力太差了，记不住那些句子和单词。”
可是，老师说：“只要你想学，你就一定能学会的。
我点点头，答应了。开始，我什么都学不会，我就想起老师的话，认认真真的听老师讲课。爸爸、妈妈也多次重复这句话。于是，我下定决心，一定把英语学好。
我每天跟着录音机一遍一遍地听，一遍一遍说。经过一年的努力，我的英语成绩赶上来了，每次读、写、背，老师总是说我进步了。课堂上，默写是我们必须做的一件事，我读几遍，背几遍，就可以熟练的.默写下来了。我现在和以前的成绩完全不同了。
我体会到，学一门课，做一件事，只要有信心，就一定能学好、做好。我现在的英语成绩相当好。但是，我不能骄傲，必须更加努力地学习。
