My Old House
Today, I went to my old house. I lived in it two years ago. When I am at school, I often think of my old house because it made me happy in the past. My old house is very tidy but old. It has only one level and there are just two rooms in it. I slept with my mother and my father ever evening. My old house is between two high houses, so it looks very small but lovely. When I lived in my old house, I often played with my sister at the weekends. But now I can’t, so I feel a little sad. Two years ago, I could share my feelings with my parents too, but they were separate at last. So my old house is my favourite place. If I have some trouble, I think of it and my parents, I’ll always get lots of energy. I will then forget the trouble soon. Do you think my old house is a wonderful place? Yes, it’s my great palace.

I have two kinds of dream homes. One is quiet, and the other is on a busy street.
I want a quiet home because I want to have a rest there. The house is on the grass. In front of the house, there is an apple tree. I want to have many apples to eat every autumn. I also want to play the swing at the tree. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two sitting rooms, a kitchen, a dining room and a big study. There are lots of books in the study and there is a computer in it. I can read books, surf the Internet and play computer games there.
I want a flat on the busy street. It’s close to my school. I have seven rooms. The biggest one is the sitting room. There is a TV and a comfortable armchair opposite the TV. After dinner, I sit in the armchair and watch TV. It’s very nice. I have a balcony. I can enjoy the sunshine on it.

今天，我参加了中央电视台希望之星英语风采大赛山东省德州赛区的复赛，可真谓难上加难，势比登天，真是上刀山下火海，难得不得了。但是即使这样，我也没灰心，反而振作了起来，用微笑和笑容迎接比赛。看着其他选手站在那里不知所措，紧张的不得了，我感觉他们真令人可悲。我相信，这些选手肯定在家练了不下百回，但到台上却瞠目结舌，“台词”也忘得一干二净了，只见他们站在那里，就像一个个泥雕，仿佛著名雕塑家罗丹的大作。但这不是比雕塑，而是比英语才能的发挥水平，比的是英语口语。我作为一名普通的`选手，看着就感觉苦笑不得。
虽然你不可能要求每一名选手都做到临危不惧这四个字，但也不能像老鼠遇上猫一样胆战心惊，双腿直发抖，不敢正视评委，把评委看成了高高在上的大法官，而把自己比成了即将被判刑的重刑犯。这些选手的滑稽“表演”，丝毫没影响到我。时间飞逝，当评委大声喊到张家泰三个字时，我一愣，随即从容大方的走上讲台，侃侃而谈起来，我把事先准备好的英语作文朗诵，我感觉我的英语作文就像洪水咆哮般涌来，富有激情和热情，我越说越兴奋，越说越高兴，仿佛这不是一场比赛，而是游乐园，使我没有压力。接下来的环节我表现依然best。但结束后，我对自己充满了信心，确信一定能进半决赛，接着进入那匪夷所思的决赛，并在决赛中胜出。
果不出我所料，到星期天去查询成绩时，看到入围名单上有陈骏彬三个大字时，我的心脏简直快蹦出来了，又是这幸运的三个字：陈骏彬。让我走上了半决赛之路，使我能够再一次在中央电视台希望之星英语风采大赛山东省德州市赛区的半决赛上展示自我，出人头地，鹤立鸡群，我真的是太开心了，但漫长的比赛之路又开始了，让我放下骄傲，迎来谦虚，最后走向成功，成就我的星光之梦，赢得一台台式联想四核液晶电脑，我正为此而努力着，加油吧！陈骏彬，你能行，下一个希望之星就是我。
