我们的英语老师戴着一副眼镜，从眼镜里面透过的目光非常严厉。起初我见到他时，心想五年级这一学期可要遭殃了，摊上这么一个凶的老师还免得了吃皮肉之苦。刚上英语课的.时候，神经绷得紧紧的，生怕有一丝的闪失，那时就有可能吃上“竹笋炒肉”啦！
可是几天下来，我发觉刘老师虽然严厉，可上他的课非常轻松。你看刘老师在讲英语题的时候，如果你上课捣乱了，老师会用一种别具一格的方式惩罚我们—抄写英语课文10遍。你看！又有同学送上门来了，老师在讲台上居高临下，同学说话看得一清二楚。说着，老师杀鸡给猴看，“罚抄课文十遍”老师不客气地说道。
“老实交代刚才都干什么了！”英语老师像审问犯人一样。
“跟同桌说话……”他支支吾吾地说。
“刚刚我讲的什么，哪个单词，什么意思。”老师一连气问了三个问题
“……yesterday……它的意思是昨天”他语无伦次。
我急忙高高举起手，我解起英语题来得心应手。这样一节课下来，同学们还是意犹未尽，还沉浸在英语课里呢！
