Few of us can travel far from home or live long over one hundred, but all of us can live many lives through the pages of books. The last but not the least, reading extensively can increase our intellectual ability, broaden our minds and make us wise.
Though with the advent of TV and Internet, books are no longer read as extensively as they once were, nothing can replace the role that reading extensively plays in our lives.

我喜欢英语这门学科。最早接触英语的时候是小学三年级，当时学校对这门新开设的功课虽然比较重视，但没有安排单元检测，所以大家上英语课都比较散漫，整个课堂都闹哄哄的，而且我们的老师水平似乎也不高。那个时候，我对英语并不感兴趣。
直到五年级，我们换了一个英语老师，这个新老师长得很漂亮，英语说得很好，我很喜欢她。刚开始，我是因为她的美貌，想让她注意我，才在课堂上认真听讲的。后来，我学进去之后，才发现英语很有意思，也很“好学”，因此，我对英语产生来浓厚的兴趣。
有一回，我在超市买东西，偶然地看到了一个外国人，因为在那之前我从未看到过外国人，所以对她很好奇。金黄色的长发，棕色的眼睛，高挺的鼻子，简直是深深地迷住了我。我那时就一直看着她，当然，我知道这样是很不礼貌的，可是我就是对她充满了好奇心。我很想走过去和她说几句话，可是我又不敢。后来，她好像注意到了我，对我笑了一笑。她这一笑简直是让我欣喜若狂，在那一刻，我就下定决心一定要学好英语，一定要能和外国人流利地交谈。
从此我就经常去找英语老师，向老师了解一些关于外国和英语有关的事。
现在初中了，我还是对英语有浓厚的兴趣。黄老师很亲切，每次看到她，就像是看到老熟人一样。我很喜欢上她的课，有时我都巴不得一整天都上英语课。英语课很轻松，几乎都是洋溢着笑声的。黄老师还能说一口流利的`英文，可以完全听懂老外的话，也可以流利地和老外交流，这一点，我特别羡慕黄老师。她是我的偶像，是我的榜样，我要像她看齐（虽然她是我的老师）。
班上很多人觉得我上英语课和外教可很激动，确实，我承认，但这也是我喜欢英语的一种方式。我对英语有一种莫名的喜欢，看到老外，我就像是吃了兴奋一样，就算原本不高兴也会变得很高兴。
上外教课时，我会很认真地听讲，虽然有很多听不懂，老外抽问时，我也都会积极地举手发言，哪怕是回答不了。我也不会觉得丢脸，因为我站起来回答问题，也是给自己的一次锻炼机会，同时也和老外多接触了一次，所以，哪怕是回答不了问题，我也是很开心的。
这个暑假我去看了上海的世博会，我在世博园里大开了眼界，里面有好多的外国人。每看到外国人我都会主动上去邀请他们和我一起拍照。刚开始和老外交流时，我有些害怕，怕自己说不好英语，但是那些热情的外国人个给予了我勇气，让我敢于大声发出邀请，“Can you teke photos with me？”（你能和我一起拍照吗？）当然，在和外国人交涉的时候我也碰过壁，那是在地铁站里，我看到一个外国人，我很开心地看来他一眼，可他却皱着眉头，用不标准的普通话说“不要看我。”这句话让当时的我很是尴尬，因为我从未碰到过这种状况，这次的事，让我注意起对待老外的应有礼节，但这并不影响我对英语的热爱。
从小学到现在，我对英语的热爱是越来越深。
在这里，我想说：“I love English”。

There is another reason why I want to be an English teacher.My first English teacher was Mr.Gao in my primary school.I never went to an English class before in primary school so I was not as good as my classmates.But he always encourage me and helps me a lot.He always smiled at me and said,Dont worry.I believe you can be better.So every time when I am too lazy to study English I remember what he said to me and keep on studying.
Now I am the English teachers aide in my class.I love English and I love to teach my classmates,too.I always encourage my classmates and say,Dont worry.I believe you can be better.just like Mr.Gao always said to me.I think with this perfect model I will be an English teacher in the future.
