　　经过前天那次英语“整修”，我觉得我已经不会再犯书写方面的错误了，今天早上我胸有遍，听到的听不到的`不写，看你能写多少。”我没办法，只好照办。由于磁带太快，声音又太小成竹的学起英语来。

　　爸爸先让我把今天的内容读一遍，我想，太简单了，“叽里呱啦”一读，等着爸爸来“验收”，没想到爸爸来了之后，却让我把第一单元的单词听写一遍，我打开书看了一眼，也不过如此嘛！以前我也听写过的，并不难，可爸爸却让跟磁带写，磁带说的那么快，读都跟不上，何况写，我对爸爸说“你说汉语意思我来写英语单词。”爸爸说：“那就是‘中国式英语’，有的人只知道单词的意思，不会读、不会听，那还学什么？磁带要是太快了，你就听三遍，听不清，好不容易听清了，却又忘记怎么写了，到最后勉强写了十几个单词，交给爸爸，心想，该行了吧，但爸爸上我抄一遍，抄的时候，爸爸又开始纠正我写作姿势呀、书写规范呀，连我都想骂我一句，我怎么总改不掉错误？

　　写完了作业，手酸疼酸疼的，看来英语不下功夫学不好呀！但我有又坚定了目标，暑假一定要学好英语。

　　Nowadays we see supermodels on almost every magazine cover and one might wonder what life will be like being one of them. Such assumption may be painful for most of the magazine readers who are already over the age when they can get taller. In response to the ”Getting taller trend”, some goes so far as to pay doctors to cut their legs open and let surgeries do the job to get just two centimeters’ higher.

　　In spite of all these that are happening, some of my taller friends desire to give up this superiority for they just don’t want to be the center of the crowd, saying that they would kill to be a 4 feet child. Girls, maybe you can’t remember the time when you were younger and you need to jump really hard to catch a glimpse of up-the-table world? But being taller, even the upper world of the refrigerator top is no longer a myth and your mom and dad can’t hide your snacks up there any more! As time goes on, you can easily see on the table the beautiful lavenders or lilies stretching themselves in their own fragrant smell, the shining toaster popping out warm tasty toast, or the little drops of water glittering under bright sunshine after your mom wipes the table. Don’t you just love to see every phase of the moon even when they are not that high up in the sky?

　　Well, I do. Being a 5 ft 10 myself, I am also taking the advantage of buying a larger outfit at a same price. Also, I get a cleaner view of the blackboard even when sitting far away from it. I run faster, jump higher and can think positively. I am proud to say that I possess the ability to see the upside of almost everything. I guess it is because I am closer to the clear blue sky above our heads.

Small wonder that I as a teenager was carried away when I first read the biography, not so much by the intriguing process in which the nation was founded as by the personality of Bismarck as described in the book. Though this formidable figure was long since dead, he remains a statesman par excellence. It was a pity that such a man of strength and character like Bismarck who, swimming against the stream of constitutionalism, could not give full vent to his talent simply because the German emperor Wilhelm II was jealous of his fame. Nevertheless, what whit his loyalty to the country and what with his indefatigable personality, he did win himself the reputation as a patriotic fighter reminiscent of Winston Churchill in contemporary time. Again and again I attempted to grasp every trait of the fighter＇s Brought to life by the biographer, wishing that someday I could be like him. Thus when I was still a starry-eyed lad I took to heart whatever Bismarck thought, did and valued saw him as the pole-star of many years I used to meditate on what the book said whenever I was faced with troubles and could not make decisions off hand. To speak the truth, what the book inspired, whether it was in connection with Bismarck himself or not, did help me in solving problems without fall. In short, I can never praise the book too much for it has influenced me so greatly in the past and will, I am afraid, continue to do so in days to come.
