这周，学校举行英语周活动。在老师的推荐下，让我去参加英语歌曲比赛。终于，比赛的日子到了，我走进大礼堂，看见大礼堂里坐着好多人，我的心开始忐忑不安起来，总是想：万一我唱错了怎么办？万一忘记歌词怎么办？万一……比赛开始了，我们班的俞力铭第一个上场，只见他胸有成竹地唱起来，还加了许多活泼的`动作，台下的观众都被深深地吸引了。唱完以后，俞力铭看到我害怕的样子，说：“别怕，只要你把下面的观众当成萝卜白菜就可以了。”
该轮到我上台了，我暗暗地为自己“鼓劲”：别慌，我能行，一定能行的。我挺直了腰杆，大胆地走上台去，为大家唱起了一首《彩虹歌》，随着优美的歌声，我慢慢地忘记了紧张，越来越放松，越唱越好。演唱结束了，台下响起了一阵雷鸣般的掌声，我的心里甜滋滋的。
经过了这次难忘的英语歌曲比赛，使我深深明白了：无论做什么事，实际上都不像我们想象中的那么难，只要对自己充满信心，就一定能成功。

英语是我一个大痛处，五年级的时候，妈妈为我换了一个新的英语辅导班，原因是，这次的英语考试我才拿到了刚刚及格的分数60分。在这个英语班上，我每天都战战兢兢，如履薄冰。整天想着怎么让爸妈高兴，让老师欢心，每天的作业都完成的很好，可的到的夸奖总是很少。学英语到底有什么用？我从心里问自己？难不成我将来真的会出国留学什么的吗？既然这样，为什么不学日语，法语，德语，俄罗斯语偏偏让我们学英语？
就这样，我在新的'英语班，胡老师家学了三个学期的英语。最后，得到的分数却让我不敢相信94分!从60分转眼间就进步到了94分!刚拿到卷纸时，我还以为我自己看花眼了。3个月，34分，3个月我整整进步了34分啊!
这个功劳应该给谁呢？百分之十是妈妈的督促，百分之四十是我的努力，百分之五十就是胡老师的严格!
俗话说的好，严师出高徒嘛!虽然她有时是严厉了一些，不过，有一点不可否认，那就是胡老师让我们做的每一件事都是为了我们好，难道不是吗？
