那是在我二年级放暑假的时候，那是我第一次接触英语。妈妈怕我的英语上了三年级之后跟不上，便为我报了一个英语班。那时的我是一个童稚，没有任何担忧的孩子，那时我考的并不好，可以说是我的耻辱我认为以我的成绩肯定会进入前几名的。可是事实就是如此，我的确没有考好，可是我并不想放弃英语，一向争强好胜的我怎会如此柔弱不堪？我总结我这次考试失利的原因，认为是自己粗心大意才使我这次没有考好。
我想在下一次的'考试中考得一个好成绩，回到家后，我把我的成绩告诉了爸爸，爸爸得知我的英语没有考好，便好好的打了我一顿，我更加在心里对自己大声的说，下次考试一定要考好，我开始为了下次能考个好成绩而拼搏，开始背单词，锻炼耐力。为了锻炼我的耐心，我找一个针和一个线头，把线穿进针孔里，提高我的耐心，终于在新的一轮英语考试中得到了一个高分。
第一次英语没考好，我并没有放弃，正是因为第一次我没考好，所以在以后的考试中我都会耐心地写卷子，会得到一个高分。虽然事情已经过去很多年了，可是每当我想起来，脸上仍会露出会心的微笑。
