Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to complain about the poor servicegiven by your hotel.
A few days ago, I went to London for a businesstrip, and I stayed in your hotel. The room was so dirty, not onlythe wall paper was leaking, but there were also garbage on thefloor. The quilts smell disgusting and there wasn’t any warm waterin the bathroom. And when I called your room service, no one cameto solve the problem, and no explanation orapology was offered. Further more, the food which was served in thecanteen tasted terrible! I complained to a member of stuff, who wasmost unhelpful and unsympathetic.
Later that evening I finally had enough anddecided to talk with one of your mangers, but then your waitresstold me none of them was at the hotel by then! Just what kind ofhotel are you running? And by the way, I can fully assure you I amnot picking holes or making a fuss over a trifle on purpose.Because my friend, Owen, who came to London with me, felt exactlythe same.
As a result of the bad service, I didn’t sleepwell that night, and the following day, I was twenty minutes latefor an important meeting, which caused considerable difficulty andembarrassment.
In this circumstance I believe I am entitled tocompensation. I am looking forward to hearing from you verysoon.
