每一个女孩子都有属于自已的公主梦,在她们眼中,公主应该是一个长得漂亮、衣着华丽的女孩,到了哪里别人都要对她恭恭敬敬的,不敢有一丝怠慢。而有一个小女孩认为,公主应该有一颗宽容、仁慈的心,这个小女孩叫萨拉。
萨拉是一个聪明的女孩,她的父亲是印度军官克鲁上尉,萨拉的母亲很早就去世了,萨拉的父亲很疼她。她的家庭很富有,在她七岁那年,父亲把她送到了女童培育院,校长铭钦小姐是个势利眼,她觉得萨拉的父亲很有钱,便处处优待萨拉,萨拉有时候会对铭钦小姐不敬,而铭钦小姐因为她的家世才一再的忍耐。萨拉11岁生日那天,父亲意外去逝了,铭钦小姐让萨拉当女佣,睡在冰冷的阁楼里。阁楼对面有一位印度绅士,他一直在寻找萨拉,最后他才知道萨拉就在他的对面,他把萨拉接了过来,把她父亲的财产全给了萨拉,她又变成了公主。
萨拉的这种精神,让我敬仰,她从一个人人宠爱的公主变成了一个女佣,发生了这么多的事她依然没有失去信心,她仍然想象自已是一个公主,她也有脆弱的时候,可她从来不表露出来。她乐观,认为所有事都压不垮她,最后,她又成为了公主。
虽然她又成为了人人羡慕的公主,而她没有因此变得骄傲,她那颗善良的心始终不变,她把和她一起当女佣的贝基接走了,又去探望了一个叫安妮的女孩,这让印度绅士十分感动。
在萨拉眼中,公主并不需要漂亮的容貌和成千上万的仆人,而需要一颗善良的心。我作为一个女孩,也要像萨拉一样,做一个坚强、乐观、善良的人。
