used to的用法

　　1 used to do sth.

　　表示“过去常常做某事或存在的状态”。used to是一个固定结构，属于情态动词的范畴，其后跟动词原形。它表示过去存在的某种状态或过去某种经常性、习惯性的行为或动作。目前已不复存在。因此，它只能用于过去时，不可以用在现在时。

　　They used to be good friends. 他们过去是好朋友。(状态)

　　He used to smoke,but now he doesn't smoke anymore.他过去经常抽烟，但现在不在抽了。(行为)

　　used to 用 did \didn't 或 used\usedn't 来构成疑问句或否定句。

　　My father usedn't \ didn't use to fish on Sundays.我爸爸过去不常在星期天去钓鱼。

　　---Did she use to \ Used she to sing pop songs? 她过去经常唱流行歌曲吗?

　　---Yes, she did.\ she used to.是的，她经常唱。

　　---No, she didn't.\ she usedn't to.不，她不是这样。

　　2 be used to (doing) sth.

　　表示“习惯于做某事”。to 是介词，后面要跟“(动)名词”。

　　Mr.White used to live in China,so he is used to (eating) Chinese food.

　　怀特先生过去住在中国，所以他习惯吃中餐。

　　3 be used to do sth.

　　是被动语态，表示“被用来做某事”。

　　Cloth is used to make clothes.布料被用来做衣服。

　　Wood is used to make furniture.木料被用来做家具。
