　　1.元音（20个）

　　-长元音：/ɑ:/ /?:/ /3:/ /i:/ /u:/

　　-短元音：/?/ /?/ /?/ /i/ /u/ /e/ //

　　-双元音：/ei/ /ai/ /?i/

　　/i?/ /e?/ /u?/

　　/?u/ /au/

　　2.辅音（28个）

　　-轻辅音：/p/ /t/ /k/ /f/ /θ/ /s/

　　-对于大多数美国人和一些英国人来说，/a:/后的字母r要发音。

　　-对于大多数美国人和英国北部的说话者，单词中的a或au发为//

　　听录音，读这些句子和单词，注意2种读法的差别。

　　Listen to the words in pairs,repeat after the teacher.

　　Listen to each sentence and choose the words you hear

　　七、Real talk

　　Fred:Oh,no.I don't want to any carrots and celery.People haedly ever eat vegetables at parties.

　　Sue:OK,then.No carrots and celery.But let's get some fresh fruit.Everyone likes fruit.Maybe strawberris and mangoes.

　　Fred:Yeah,I like strawberries and mangoes. ...And we need dessert.I konw!Let's get some cake.

　　Sue:No,cake is too difficult to eat.Let's get some cookies.

　　Fred:Oh,OK.Anything else?

　　Sue:Oh,yeah!Do you need any drinks?

　　Fred:Yeah,we do.Let's get some soda.

　　Sue:I think that's it.Now let's make a shopping list.
