北京奥运徽宝典藏版13号起限量发行

The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) announced that a limited amount of the collection version of the Beijing Olympic Emblem Seal will come into market on December 13.

The seal is half the size of the original Olympic Emblem Seal. Its material is precious jade from the same source of production -- Hetian, Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

The stable figure of the seal symbolizes peace and unity, reflecting the unity among members of the international Olympic family and among the athletes participating in competitions.

The mahogany box holding the seal is carved with scenic spots such as Temple of Heaven, Great Wall, China Millennium Monument and the Olympic venue of National Olympic Stadium, dubbed Bird's Nest.

The Temple of Heaven represents the host city of Beijing, the Great Wall represents China, the Millennium Monument represents a new Beijing and the Bird's Nest represents the Olympic theme.

A total of 2008 pieces will be issued, at a price of 56,000 RMB yuan per piece.
