　　Guangzhou is a good place to visit. In Guangzhou there are many beautiful parks, museums, temples, etc. So many people like going to visit Guangzhou. And you can eat many famous and delicious foods in Guangzhou, dimsum is the most delicious food, I think. Guangzhou isn’t cold in winter and it’s quite hot in summer. Guangzhou has a long history of about two thousand one hundred years. I like Guangzhou very much.

　　On the map of China, Guangzhou is in the south. It is really a big city. There are so many towns in it. Just in Panyu, there are seventeen towns.

　　I live in Panyu and I love it very much. There are many places we can enjoy ourselves. Bao Moyuan is one of the interesting places in Panyu. There are a lot of gold fish in the artificial lake. Some people sell fish food everywhere. You can spend five yuan buying one bag and feed the fish. That’s fun.There are also many big trees, colorful flowers. The nests of birds are on the big trees, they all enjoy themselves very much. Of course, I can have fun every time when I go there.

　　Another beautiful place I want to mention is Lotus mountain . That is a good place for praying.. The most important part of it is the tall statue of Guangying. It is a port on the Pearl River, navigable to the South China Sea, and is located about 120km north-west of Hong Kong. As of the 2000 census, the city has a population of 6 million, and a metropolitan population of 12.6 million,[citation needed] making it the most populous city in the province and the third most populous metropolitan area in China.

　　With the Guangzhou Metro, opened in 1999, Guangzhou is the fourth city in China to build an underground railway system. Currently there are four lines operational with an ambitious plan to expand rapidly with three lines under construction and four lines that are being planned.

　　Guangzhous main airport is the New Baiyun International Airport in Huadu District, that opened on 5 August 2004 replacing old Baiyun International Airport close to the city centre.

　　The Canton Tower, in Chinese called Guǎngzhōu tǎ (also called Guangzhou TV Sightseeing Tower) is the second tallest structure in the world after Burj Dubai in Dubai, UAE. The Canton Tower is designed by the Dutch architects Mark Hemel and Barbara Kuit of Information Based Architecture together with engineers Arup, the international design, engineering and business consulting firm headquartered in London, UK. 2004 Information Based Architecture and Arup won the international competition, in which many of the worlds larger architectural offices participated. The same year the IBA - Arup team in Amsterdam developed the towers concept design. In later stages IBA cooperated mainly with the local Chinese offices of Arup and a Local Design Institute. The tower although not fully completed yet is since 1 October 2010 open to the public.

　　For a long time the city-government of Guangzhou wavered to decide on the Guangzhou TV Sightseeing Towers name. On 29 September 2010 finally came the decision. On this day it was officially announced that it was simply going to be called Canton Tower, after the citys former name.
